The fire that once fueled every word has dimmed into a quiet smoke curling around unfinished drafts and forgotten dreams. Still, I tell myself this is temporary, that all artists fade sometimes, that even stars dim and need to disappear before they shine again. I tell myself… you need to fall to rise again; to rest and reclaim what I’ve lost along the way. I tell myself to live above your demons but also know my battles. Because the truth is—I am not lazy.
